Tape on my Floor?

One of the challenges I have faced with my little twins, is keeping them out of the kitchen. I find myself spanking them for whining at my feet while I prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner. Each meal, it's a new opportunity for me to be consistent in training them to obey and be patient for their food. How easy it is for me to not even hear the crying or feel them hanging on my feet (I just get so accustomed to it =)! Well, many times my husband has come to the rescue in proposing new ways for me to train them. And well, this is my favorite!! He suggested I put tape down on the floor at the entrance of the kitchen. I wasn't sure, at first, that this would work (I thought I would have to spank more to train them to not cross the line!!)
To my surprise, as soon as the tape went down, they did not cross it! It is the funniest thing. They have never required a disciple for crossing the line. Now, I can prepare all my meals and they just wait. No more concern of dropping a sharp knife, spilling hot water or little ones hanging on to my legs. Thank you, babe!
Think it's funny...you should try it!!

Jason & Ashley's Wedding

My precious little boy was asked to be a ringbearer in our good friends, Ashley and Jason's, wedding on Saturday. I know I'm his mom, but I thought he did a wonderful job. His friend, Moriah, was the flower girl - she was adorable. It was a special day! Chris had the great privilege and honor to marry them (his first wedding ever!). It didn't look like his first though. He did a great job! Here are pictures from our fun weekend...

Just US!

Chris and I were able to get-a-way from the little ones for a few days. We have had such a relaxing time in Daytona Beach. I am definitely a little burned (that's no surprise!). There is nothing like having your feet in the sand, taking a long nap on the beach, and yummy food you don't have to cook. Now I am refreshed and ready to go back to being a mom again!

Mother's Day

I am a very blessed woman! My husband has TIRELESSLY served me all day. I think he was one of the hardest working fathers! Thank you, babe, for all the dirty diapers you changed, meals your cooked, spankings you gave, presents you bought and love you communicated. I couldn't have ask for a more humble servant than you. I love you!

Day out!

Thanks to my sweet friend, Tammy, I had a really special day out! I totally ruined my diet (that's obvious with the pictures). But, in spite of gaining 5 pounds, it was so much fun to have a day out with a great friend. Thank you, Libby, for watching my crazy kids all afternoon. This is surely no easy task! I am so grateful to God for giving me friends to enjoy. Tammy is such a dear friend of mine. She loves to laugh, encourage, shop and talk about the Savior. I have grown so much by my relationship with her. She is an example of Titus 2 and how the older women are to train the younger women. Thank you, Tammy, for being faithful to scripture and seeking to encourage me to be a more godly wife and mother! I love you, my friend!

Beach Days

Welcome to our Blog!

I am so excited to have a way to keep my friends and family up to date on our lives. Please check in on us from time to time.
We recently took a trip to the beach. This was our 3rd trip and we had another great time. The kids love it, especially when they get to eat yummy food. Carlye won't sit in the sand, but she will sit on a towel. Even though the towel is covered in sand, she is completely content. She sat there for about 2 hours! It's fine with me, that way I only have to chase Jack. Not only does the beach wear them out, but mom and dad are ready for a nap too!
